靴磨きMake a difference with the shine on your feet!
Shoeshine Edition

Shoe polish is the royal road to leather maintenance.
Here we introduce the essence of shoe polish, which creates beautiful feet in less time.

From "Leather in Japan No. 3," published in 2010

The most important thing is cleansing. If you don't remove dirt properly, you will end up putting on new makeup without removing the old makeup.
Shoeshine, as the word implies, tends to focus on "polish," but it is important to know how to take care of your skin properly first. Just as a person's skin can be kept healthy if it is properly cared for from a young age, it is important to take care of your shoes on a regular basis, starting immediately after you buy them. Brush, cleanse to remove dirt, and nourish and moisturize with cream. This alone will give the shoes a much-needed shine. Finally, polish the toe area and you have sexy feet.

Step.1 Put in a shoe keeper

Before starting the work, it is very important to put in a shoe keeper to keep the shoes in a clean shape. It stretches wrinkles and makes it easier to remove dirt. Be sure to choose a keeper that fits the size of your shoes.

Step.2 Brushing

Brushing removes surface dirt. Mr. Futamura uses a soft horsehair brush. The key is to brush from the toes to the heels, moving the brush back and forth.

Step.3 Cleansing

Put the cleaner on a cloth and wipe one foot at a time. Repeat about three times, or four or five times if the dirt is too heavy. This is like cleansing old makeup before applying makeup.

Step.4 Apply emulsifying cream

Apply a thin layer of colorless emulsifying cream with a brush. It is best to focus on the damaged areas. If you use a cloth, the cloth will absorb the cream, so use a brush.

Step.5 Brushing

Spread the cream evenly with the brush. Spread the cream evenly over the entire area, starting with the toes, heels, and other areas where you focused on applying the cream. Do not forget to scrape off any cream that may be stuck in the creases.

Step.6 Wipe dry

Remove excess cream by wiping with a dry cloth. If you do not have a special glove like the one shown in the photo, you can use a used T-shirt, etc. Wipe off all the cream you have applied.

Step.7 Apply polish

Trace the high-shine polish with a cloth wrapped around your finger, melting the wax with the heat of friction and letting it blend into the cotton. Apply it to the toe area only, always filling in the pores.

Step.8 Wait until it dries.

When you have finished applying the wax toe, be sure to wait 30 seconds. If you do not wait, the cloth will absorb the polish before it penetrates the leather.

Step.9 Brushing

Once the wax has hardened on the surface of the shoe, use a brush to blend it in. Again, a stiff hog hair brush is used. The brush should be moved quickly and smoothly side to side to create a glossy finish.

Step.10 Wipe with a cloth

The surface is further polished using a cloth. Mirror finish by removing water and polishing is very popular, but a brush and cloth alone can bring out enough luster and give an elegant finish.

Step.11 Completion

The white stains have been removed, and the original elegant luster of the leather has been restored. The shine of the toes is also shiny.

The shoes can be revived to this level by using color cream!

Please take a look at the photo above. This is not a production for the purpose of creating a magazine article. These are leather shoes that have been neglected for more than six months and have been given basic care as described above. The only difference is that the cream is colored. It took less than 10 minutes. Now, let's give your shoes a helping hand as well!

Apply the colored cream, focusing on the damaged toes and heels, and spread it over the entire shoe. The amount of cream is also OK, just a few grains of rice.
