An innovative leather developed jointly by Dutch company Eco Leather, which supplies leather to world-renowned fashion houses, and DSM, the creator of Dyneema®—a high-strength polyethylene fiber. Dyneema® is used in bulletproof vests and climbing ropes, and is considered one of the world's strongest fibers, capable of withstanding harsh environments. By bonding this Dyneema®—thinned to an extreme thickness of 0.4–0.6mm—with premium cowhide, it eliminates the drawback that “thin leather equals weak leather” without compromising the inherent texture of leather. Furthermore, Dyneema® Bonded Leather is a sustainable leather produced using the company's proprietary “DriTan” tanning technology.
